Download and decompress ZIP
file into a newly created directory. Then execute 'runme.bat' or 'runme2.bat'
or 'runme3.bat'. For additional datasets use a DOS shell and type 'volume.exe
filename.dat' (e.g. volume.exe head256.dat).
GeForce3- and Radeon8500-based Renderer for MICROS~1.OFT Win9x,ME,NT,2000,XP
including spherical harmonic function and ell64
datasets:
Version 2.11 now automatically detects and uses 3D textures if available (GeForce drivers >=14.20, all Radeon8500 drivers). Uses fragment shaders on the Radeon8500 and texture shaders and register combiners on the GeForce3.
Use Key '3' to switch between 2D and 3D textures. Also new: apply perlin noise to volumetric data on-the-fly, use
demo runme4, then press 'x' to start perlin noise mode, use panel on bottom of screen to change parameters.
GeForce3- and Radeon8500-based Renderer for Linux
including spherical harmonic function and ell64
datasets:
Requires NVidia Linux
drivers >= 1.0-1251, no drivers for Radeon8500 yet available.
Version 2.11 now automatically detects and uses 3D textures on GeForce3 chips if available (drivers
1512 on Linux now available). Use Key '3'
to switch between 2D and 3D textures. Also new: apply perlin noise to volumetric data on-the-fly, use
demo runme4, then press 'x' to start perlin noise mode, use panel on bottom of screen to change parameters.
GeForce256, GTS, Ultra based Renderer for MICROS~1.OFT
Win9x,ME,NT,2000,XP
(same as above, but requires to activate the
software emulation mode and to press 'space'
explicitly to render.)
