IVoR: Interactive Volume Rendering

IVoR is an interactive visualization tool for scalar volume data defined on Cartesian and tetrahedral grids. The implementation is entirely embedded into the OpenInventor rendering toolkit thus offering highest flexibility in terms of user manipulation and navigation. Novel visualization options are integrated enabling

- direct volume rendering of Cartesian grids via 3D textures
- direct volume rendering of tetrahedral grids
- non-polygonal rendering of iso-surfaces from Cartesian and tetrahedral grids
- integrated rendering of iso-surfaces and semi-transparent material
- interactive manipulation of transfer functions
- flexible use of clipping planes and arbitrary clipping geometries
